Two New Members Join LACF Board

The Lamberton Area Community Foundation welcomes two new board members and extend thanks to three completing their service.

Brian Kletscher joins the board as its new chair. Brian has been the CEO at Highwater Ethanol, LLC since 2008. He and his wife Vicki have lived in the Lamberton area since 2010. His strong work ethic and dedication will fit well into the goals of Lamberton Area Community Foundation.

Lori Creighton, a self-employed marketing consultant, is also a new member. She and her husband Scott, who was raised in Lamberton, have lived in the area for nine years. She brings marketing expertise to help the Foundation improve its communication strategies.

As Brian takes over as chair. Sarah Rains becomes secretary, and Sarah Pack continues as treasurer. Debbie Vollmer, Char Graff, and Leon Benedict remain on the board. Thanks to Debbie for her time as chair and Char for her work as secretary.

The board thanks outgoing members Anita Runck, Kathy Batalden-Smith, and Todd Lee. Their work has helped strengthen community giving in Lamberton.

Volunteer Board Members Support Community Improvement

Board members volunteer their time to oversee and facilitate all aspects of the foundation. They review grant applications and award funding for community improvement projects, raise funds by holding special events, and work with donors to support the foundation.

Fundraisers include the annual Glow Ball Golf Tournament in July, along with comedy shows, entertainment, and special events throughout the year. Local sponsors make these events possible by donating prizes, auction items, and supplies.

The foundation operates as an affiliate of the Southwest Initiative Foundation. SWIF handles the administrative work of running a nonprofit and ensures donors’ contributions qualify for the maximum tax deduction.
