The Lamberton Area Community Foundation welcomes Adam Schumacher as its newest board member. Adam has called Lamberton home since 2019 and brings experience in educational leadership, agricultural business, and entrepreneurship to the role.

Adam joins seven other volunteers on the LACF board who guide how the foundation grows, who receives grants, and how donor funds are put to work.

The foundation is an incredible asset for a town like Lamberton. At a time when many small towns are struggling to keep up with local needs, the foundation supports projects that are important to residents, meeting today’s challenges and planning for the future.

The foundation’s main fund is an endowment, which works like a permanent savings account. Charitable contributions go in, the principal is never spent, and the earnings fund grants to local organizations and projects year after year. That means two things for people in the Lamberton area.

If your organization or project could use funding, you may be able to apply for a grant. And if you’ve ever wanted your charitable giving to stay local and keep working over time, the foundation is a way to do that.

You don’t have to give a large amount to make a difference. Gifts are tax deductible at the highest possible rate because LACF operates as a community fund of the Southwest Initiative Foundation, a 501(c)(3) public charity.
