You Can Make a Difference in the Place You Call Home
Funds for the grants are generated through an endowment that is funded by charitable contributions. An endowment is like a savings account. The principle is invested forever and never spent.
Creating A Legacy
Through Community Improvement, SUPPORTED BY PEOPLE WHO CARE
The Lamberton Area Community Foundation strives to make the community an even better place to live, give, and thrive by awarding grants to worthy organizations and projects through its own general endowment. It helps donors reach their charitable goals and provides flexibility by accepting a broad range of gifts. Donors can give to the causes they care about most by giving to existing funds or creating a new fund that they are interested in supporting.
About the Foundation
The Lamberton Area Community Foundation is organized as a community fund of the Southwest Initiative Foundation (SWIF), a 501 ( c ) (3) public charity, which allows the Lamberton Area Community Foundation to be a public charity infrastructure necessary for donor gifts to receive the highest possible charitable tax deduction.
The Lamberton Area Community Foundation has a local advisory board made up of volunteer members whose main goal is to create a permanent resource that provides leadership and financial resources to encourage community engagement, support community growth, and retain wealth in the community.
The Lamberton Area Community Foundation is organized as an affiliate of the Southwest Initiative Foundation.
Our partner, the Southwest Initiative Foundation, provides administrative support through gift processing and receipting, grant processing, investment management, and the 501(c)(3) public charity infrastructure necessary for your gifts to receive the highest possible charitable tax deduction. We also have access to technical and professional support from Southwest Initiative Foundation in areas such as strategic planning, board development, fundraising, marketing and public relations, and grantmaking.
In return, we have established an advisory board to lead the Lamberton Area Community Foundation, raise funds to support our vision, coordinate a grant process and educate the community. We are in the driver’s seat, with Southwest Initiative Foundation supporting us every step of the way.
